Voilà maintenant deux ans que j’écoute du hip-hop, et que cette musique est aujourd’hui celle qui me passionne le plus. Il existe à mon avis trois voix vraiment « émouvantes » dans ce mouvement aujourd’hui : Pigeon John, Myka Nyne et Devin The Dude.
Pigeon John est un rappeur californien de Los Angeles, faisant partie du mouvement « Project Blowed » du début des années 90 (pour résumer, le mouvement fondateur de ce que l’on appelle aujourd’hui le rap underground west coast). Sa particularité est de pratiquer une sorte de chant mi-rappé, mi-fredonné, avec charme et élégance.

Dans EMILY ,il y a malgré tout une émotion à travers une ligne mélodique répétitive qui me rappelle vaguement les rondes enfantines d’antan de façon plus allégées ou aériennes
